How long have you lived in Coppell and what is one of your earliest or favorite memories?
I have lived in Coppell since August 30, 1990, when my husband Jack and I moved here with our 10-month-old daughter. She is now 33 years old with two children. My favorite memory is taking our daughter at 18 months to the Duck Pond and seeing the ducks and geese; one of the geese chased after me!
Why is Coppell History important to you?
Coppell is important to me because my four children grew up and went to school from kindergarten through senior year of high school. My husband and I have many fond memories. My husband Jack provides financial advice to local people.
Do you have a Coppell history story to share?
When our oldest daughter was in fourth grade, she presented a play about Coppell History at Town Center Elementary. It was the first exposure I had to the local history.
Why do you enjoy being a member of the Coppell Historical Society?
I enjoy learning more about our town's history, and I enjoy the fellowship of Coppell residents. My favorite Coppell Historical Society events are Pioneer Day and Vintage Christmas in Old Town.
