established the Coppell chapter of Kiwanis. In 2003, he and eleven other Kiwanis members established the Friends of Coppell Nature Park (FCNP.) Led by Mayor Lou Duggan, he helped in the design and fundraising for the Biodiversity Education Center which began in 2008 and was completed in 2014.

Tom was born in Indiana on 22 February 1927 and served in WWII. After the war, he worked for the National Cash Register Corporation (NCR) in Dayton, OH for 42 years before moving to Coppell and becoming actively involved in the community. He is celebrating his 99th birthday this year. He attended our Veterans Plaza ribbon cutting and he was the only one in the crowd who had served in WWII
