MARVIN FRANKLIN

While serving on the Coppell City Council (2006-2018), he provided critical leadership in furthering the development of Old Town Coppell/Main Street and the Coppell Arts Center. He helped lead efforts in the Coppell 2030 visioning, Cypress Waters negotiations,
major expansions to our parks and trails, the building of facilities including the CORE, Life Safety Park, the Farmers Market, the Biodiversity Education Center, and significant infrastructure growth. He also served twice as Mayor Pro Tem and was one of Coppell’s longest serving Council members.

Marvin was born in 1952 in Charleston, WV and graduated from West Virginia University. He came to Coppell from Boston in 1999. He is currently First Vice President/Senior Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch.
