People say that the Local Diner is a place that has been part of the community forever. After running a restaurant in Carrollton, Frank & Margaret Brightwell moved their Local Diner Restaurant to the corner of Denton Tap & Sandy Lake in 1989. Their 1950s style diner has been a mainstay of Coppell for 38 years. They moved the restaurant to Old Town Coppell when it opened in 2014 and in 2023 Jonathan & Christiana Crump and Eric Pickett purchased it. In addition to serving great food and being a fun gathering place, it has been featured in movies
and photo shoots because it so unique.
