LIZ MINYARD
Liz is shown at the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) which she established in 1982. To the right is a photo of the replica of the 1932 Minyard’s Grocery & Market that her family donated to the City of Coppell in 2011. The first Minyard Food Store opened in East Dallas in 1932 during the depths of the Great Depression. Minyard Food Stores expanded throughout the DFW area over the decades. In 1981, the company moved their headquarters to Coppell. After the passing of Buddy Minyard, leadership passed to Liz Minyard, Gretchen Minyard Williams and Sonny Williams. In 2004, the Minyard family sold the business.

The NTFB distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of nearly 1,000 feeding programs and 400 Partner Agencies in 13 North Texas counties.
