JAN LORRAIN
Jan is shown at Ihnfeldt House in Heritage Park with displays of archaeological artifacts in the background. She and her husband Paul did archaeological research and led digs around the Coppell area. They uncovered and documented stone hearths, grinding stones, mussel shells, and bone fragments from Native American tribes
living in the area as early as 3,000 BCE. Jan and Paul were long-time members of the Coppell Historical Society.

Jan Lorrain was born in Ohio. After moving to Ft. Worth, she met Paul Lorrain who had a deep interest in archaeology. They both shared that passion going on archaeological digs in the Southwest during the summers. They traveled the world to places like Machu Pichu and the pyramids in Egypt before he passed away. The historical marker in Andy Brown Park on Native American Sites is a testament to their work
