The Carricks came to the U.S. from South Africa and discovered Coppell when they visited here in 1997. In 2001, they purchased and renovated the Ihnfeldt house which was built in 1924 and is one of the oldest houses in
Coppell. They later donated it to the City of Coppell where it is now part of Heritage Park. In 2016, they purchased Harwell House (next to the barbershop) which they renovated and where their shop is now located
