Day 1 - Joplin, Missouri

After we passed Choteau, Oklahoma, we continued on towards the Missouri border.  Joplin is not far from the border where we stayed for the night.  You might recall that in 2011 an EF5 category tornado hit the town and more than 160 people were killed.  Twelve years later, it is hard to recognize that the town was devastated.
