- Kirkland House 120th Anniversary
Coppell's oldest house, Kirkland House, was built in 1904 and is celebrating its 120th anniversary. Two guest speakers will share their memories of the house. Randy Banwart's mother was married to Caroll Kirkland before he was killed in action in WWII. His mother remarried and they would visit Coppell when he was a child. Jack Brooks is the son of Harvey D. Brooks and Sallie Gladys Kirkland. They both have a lot of very interesting stories to tell about the house and the early history of our town.
